Refund policy by item & service

Pottery Returns

We do not accept pottery returns where a piece has been broken. We can't guarantee that it broke during shipping, or if it was from user negligence.

We do, however, accept returns if a purchased piece has a defect that makes it dangerous. (razor sharp edges on mugs, significant pin holes in a bowl for example).

If you have a piece that you feel is dangerous, you need to contact us within 14 days to open up a return request with us.

These returns are managed on a case by case basis, so just ask us if you think your piece should be refunded due to a safety concern.

No pottery we sell will ever contain leaded glazes.

Clay Returns

We only accept clay returns in the event of a recall event where we have determined an entire batch was contaminated, or a poor mix was achieved which would result in a incorrect firing.

We also accept clay returns where the package was marked incorrectly. Example: Box of red clay was purchased, but there was white clay inside

Once you purchase clay and walk out of our store, it is yours!

Glaze Returns

All glazes purchased are yours once the seal is broken. We do not accept returns on any open glazes.

If you purchase a glaze and find that the seal was broken already or there is a defect that prevents its use, we will offer a replacement if possible first, and a refund second.

Tool returns

We offer a 30 day return & replacement policy on all in house tools under the Blue Ridge Clay Company brand, no questions asked.

All other tools have a 14 day return policy if there is a defect or problem with the tool that prevents its use.

Sign up refund policy

We offer full refunds on all ticket sign ups so long as they are requested 72 hours before the start of the event or class.

There is no refund after this time frame.

  • Mini-courses
  • Workshops
  • Events

Membership policy

Membership dues will not be refunded after 2 days of payment posting.

If you pay annually, we can process a partial refund, deducting each month of use at our standard monthly membership rate. You lose the discount for paying annually if you cancel before the annual renewal period.
